WELCOME TO YEAR 3

We’re thrilled to welcome you and your child to Year 3, an exciting year where creativity, collaboration, and curiosity take centre stage.

In Year 3, we embrace inquiry-based learning, encouraging children to ask questions, explore ideas, work together and really begin to take in the world around them through authentic learning experiences. This approach helps build critical thinking skills and a love for learning that will serve them for years to come.

Our approach to maths follows the Maths No Problem program, which focuses on problem-solving, mastery, and developing a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This ensures all children are challenged and supported to achieve their best. ๐Ÿงฎ

You can also play a vital role in supporting your child’s learning at home. Platforms like Doodle Learning are a fantastic resource to reinforce classroom learning in a fun and engaging way. As well as accessing Doodle, another way to support your child's learning is through reading at home and supporting them with spelling practice. ๐Ÿ”ค

In our class we are very lucky to have a wonderful team of adults, we have Mrs Hatter as our class teacher and Miss Shaw as our class LSA, however we also have Mrs Jones who will be teaching in Year 3 every other Thursday for PPA and when Miss Shaw is leading ELSA sessions across PS2/3, Ms Morris will be joining us! ๐ŸŒŸ

We are looking forward to a wonderful year of growth and exploration in Year 3. Together, we can ensure your child has a rewarding and memorable year!
