Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment!
We will be celebrating World Book Day together in school by dressing up as our favourite book characters - if you would like to bring in a donation it will go towards buying new books for school.
If you would prefer, you can also come to school in "comfy reading clothes" (no pj's please)
There will be competitions for the best photo entries of "strange places to read" and World Book Day vouchers will be coming home.
We will be having an in class competition to make a story in a container as well!
Don't forget to share your love of reading at home!
From the middle of January we (The Pantry at Jenner Park) will be in the customer vote for a Tesco Stronger Starts Grant. It’s a scheme which gives community projects like us grants of up to £1,500. Tesco customers will now be able to vote in Barry, Rhoose, Dinas Powys, and Penarth stores during January, February and March to decide how much funding we get, so please support us when you shop at Tesco during that time!
The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education. In Jenner Park, we've done lots of International work including visits to Spain and Greece for some of our pupils and staff, staff visits to Romania and visits from schools in Spain and Greece to Jenner Park. All of these activities help our young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need for life and work in today’s world.
Take a look at our fantastic Year 6 children being interviewed for the Government Website! Da iawn pawb!

Message for parent mail:
Dear Parents,
The NHS has asked for this message to be sent out to you as it is World Diabetes Day this weekend.
Undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes in children requires urgent medical attention.
If your child has ANY of the main symptoms of Type 1 diabetes please make an urgent GP appointment or contact the Out of Hours service. The main symptoms are known as the 4 Ts – Thirst, Toilet, Tiredness, Thinner. If you notice your child is thirsty or using the toilet more frequently, is always feeling tired, or has lost weight recently, seek immediate medical advice.
NHS services are very well equipped to look after children safely if they are unwell. Please do not delay seeking medical advice because of Covid-19.
