Welcome

School Council

School Council 2025-26

Wow! School Council have hit the ground running this term. We have been so busy and we have so many plans.

We started the year by welcoming all of our new representatives and we got to know each other a little better.

Harvest Festival

We asked our class mates to bring in different items that we could donate to The Pantry, which will then help our friends and family. We were so impressed by all the generous donations.  Reverend Canon Zoe came and let our Harvest Festival Service and we enjoyed listening to her tell us about the importance of yeast and how we are like yeast. We may only be one person, but we can all make a huge difference.

School Council would like to thank everyone for their kind donations and Canon Reverend Zoe for leading our celebration.

Children In Need

We are busy working on some exciting plans to raise money for Children in Need.

  • We are selling Children in Need merchandise, ears £2.50, teddy keyrings £2.50 and wrist bands for £1.

  • We are having a sponsored Challenge 25, and asking our friends and families to sponsor us to run, walk, jog or skip 25 times around our playground! We are going to complete this over the week leading up to Children in Need Day.

  • We are going to invite children to wear their PJs on November 14th for a donation of 50p.

CollaborativArt

Our school value this half term is collaboration, and so School Council wanted to celebrate this value. They have asked every member of the school team to colour in a lollipop stick, which they will arrange to make a beautiful piece of art.  The artwork will show that everybody in our school is part of the same team, and that by working together we accomplish amazing things.  Watch this space!

2024-2025

At Jenner Park Primary School we have two representatives from each year group.  Each member was elected by their peers after delivering an election speech.  The representatives meet once a week to discuss ideas and projects.  The meetings also enable the Council to talk about issues and ideas that their peers have approached them with during the week.

What Have We Been Up To?

  • We have raised almost £150 with our Christmas Raffle
  • We have met with Healthy Habit Heroes to discuss the type of play equipment we would like to buy
  • We met with the Super Ambassadors to learn about The Rights of a Child

What Are We Doing Next?

  • A whole school assembly to mark International Anti Bullying Day
  • Making plans for Comic Relief...which may include cake!

Spring Term

  • We had a cake sale for Comic Relief and a non-uniform day
  • We had a name the bunny competition for Easter
